Deepest Reaches

Deepest Reaches is the Southern California surfboard label of shaper Kyle Albers, hand shaping out of Irvine, California, where he thinks outside the box and isn't limited by preconceived notions of what a surfboard should be. His designs sit in a world of their own, blending influences from fish, hull, bonzer, and mid length traditions into shapes that feel completely fresh.

His signature Mega Fish is one of the most versatile and sought after surfboards in California, functioning as a fish, a mid, and a glider all packed into a single piece of foam. The board features a stretched fish outline with a flat deck and beveled rail structure, with a rounded entry that flows into a tri plane hull and a deep double barrel bonzer style concave running throughout the shape. It makes beautiful sweeping turns that leverage the board's length through its swing weight, allowing the rider to draw fish style lines in a really graceful fashion.

With a growing cult following up and down the California coast, Deepest Reaches is one of those under the radar labels that serious surfers quietly obsess over.
